(no subject)

I was reading a news article.

"The mystery group, who call themselves Anonymous"

... understanding of the word Anonymous: FAIL.

I win at wake up. I take a moment to appreciate that.

I am up, and it is morning. Just like I planned. Cool.

Now I have to decide what to do with the rest of the day.

There's a half dozen small tasks to do outside the house, little shopping things that keep on getting put off. I need a new floor cleaner stick, except I don't know where the last one came from or what would most usefully replace it. I need a new step for getting in and out of the big tall bed. It has a ladder but that's just not very handy. I has a step but it's making creaky bendy reactions so it needs replacing. I got shoelaces and matches yesterday because the supermarket does them but in the matter of both steps and mops it just didn't quite manage. I also need to go to the electricals store and say what my recorder box does to sound. This is a task that I have been putting off since months ago because it's such a tiny error compared to all the leave the house, and they've taken it away to fix before without improving it, and... well, no actual reason, I just haven't got that far into the jobs.

I leave the house two days this week for college. I'm not keen on adding a day. I can put these into Thursday afternoon on the way back from being up way too early.

So that leaves all the jobs inside the house to do. I did laundry yesterday. I also filled the dishwasher, but due to not hitting the on button it did not dishwash. Clever. So, anyway, dishwasher today. And clean the front room and the other room.

No, if I phrase it like that I'll never get around to it. I shall put on an audio book, sit where I can reach the corner with the most going on, and tidy up for the length of one audio. If I really feel into it I can put on another audio. I has a stack of them right now. But if I don't want to I don't do that. Then I'll have one audio worth of work done.

I also want to finish the Story book, which has useful advice. I need to read it again with a highlighter and making notes. I've been picking it up and putting it down for a bunch of time now.

I have two more books about greek tragedy to read, and two more plays that could usefully go with Agamemnon. Er, I don't think I can spell Agamemnon. Okay, I can also learn that for this semester...

Add to that eating, not going back to sleep, and other such general maintenance.


That's my to do list.



By the end of the day I expect to have worked on one, maybe two items.



And this is why the out-the-house list keeps on expanding. *sigh*

Okay, I'll email my employee and say we'll do the outside the house errands list, add the bits with the glass recycling and taking the clothes to the charity shop. Will put all that lot in on Friday. Sorted.

What I want to do with the hours this week is go to the pub for the sci fi group equinox quiz, but I can't, because it is Wednesday night and I need to be asleep by ten and they don't start until nine and they're a half hour drive away. Blah and sulk.


ETA: No I can't fit anything in this Thursday cause I have to go to the dentist. What's the odds I forget and go straight home? Pretty high. *sigh* *facepalm*

Myth

Today I did homework we probably won't be set until tomorrow.
... there's a thread on the discussion board that's interesting already. It says to write a short version of a Greek myth using research from books or internet. I can do that.
Actually some of them I can do from memory, but the being able to point at sources thing is recommended in academic work.

I wrote about Tiresias, partly because s/he is in one of the plays, mostly because s/he's just interesting.
