I have glitter in the weirdest places.
I've had baths, and yet, glitter.
I've got to go to class and pretend I've read the stuff we're supposed to, but I suspect with all the rainbow shinyness I'm not fooling anyone.

... must stop in library before class and read reallyreally quickly...

:eyeroll:

Today has been so organised I'm on my second pair of socks, cause the first stepped in a puddle, and I'm wearing two pairs, because the long ones have a hole, and my hair is still wet and my scarf I wear around my waist is in the wash and I'm sure I've forgotten to pack something and ack I'm wearing the wrong glasses for going out in the shiny hang on I fix that...

... and my shoelaces have been underneath the shoes all night so I bet they're still wet from yesterday and I think I put my cardigan in the wash and I think I bruised my ears from wearing clip on earrings all week and I have to leave the house in 7 minutes if I want to catch the next bus and I barely even checked my email yet let alone caught up on anything...

BUT

None of that matters cause I had a great weekend.

Awesome.

And also shiny :-)

Am home, am fed, am very much ready for bed.
School is sodding exhausting.

I contributed usefully in class. My contribution was to notice the teacher had put the wrong name on a printout from a website she recommended us earlier and I've been poking around on. So, not perhaps tactful, but useful.

I really love the stuff we've been studying lately. I spent all last year whining about the texts but this year I really love Greek Tragedy. It's kind of awesome.

Also, I just, by about ten minutes, managed to do the handout reading before class. And I managed to contribute to the board on imagery in Agamemnon by using the bits I read over the weekend. Reading in the queue for the win!

KidLit was good too. I hadn't finished teh book (uh oh) but she didn't expect us to (because the class is full of newbie first years?) and we didn't get to the end of the bit I've read before the lesson ended. Win! Also I seem to be the only person willing to speak out loud. That's a turn around. So I keep on being the one to answer questions. Since I've been a first year for about three years now I feel vaguely like it's no fair. But since I don't always get it right I guess that works out.

... I got as far as anthropomorph and got stuck in my speakings. "Anthropomorph morph morph thingy." Is not technically the right answer. Teach took it though.

I had a great answer lined up about how I've been studying up on Carnival this weekend, observing the practical applications of principle areas described by Bakhtin, such as parody, crossdressing, and sexual licence. And I have the pictures to prove it.

... in my head this is funny. Proves I was paying attention in class last week.

So then I went to the bus station and caught a bus. This is not usually a line on its own now. But today there were a couple of skinheads, old enough to be original era, and they were a bit scary. I'm not scared of fashion statements. I'm scared of loud verbal statements about how they took their piercings out for court, went to therapy, and got very drunk. But when I pointed out the no smoking sign they were relatively polite. Well, first she said "He never minds." Or something like that. Which, er, not the point. But then I conveyed through gestures something meant to be "Your cancer stick is making me cough, please to not be making smoke go this way." Which they translated as "You're asthmatic? We didn't know." Which resulted in him going to stand under the big No Smoking sign to smoke. Which, okay, result.

... the bus is always an adventure.

Then on the way home I tried to remember if I had food in the house, couldn't remember, and decided to get noodles. So I had vegetable noodles. Which are great, cause you eat a ton of vegetables while only tasting greasy noodles. I like it.

... fat and carbs are good food groups, right?

So now I could be checking the internet, especially since there's 61 windows and god knows how many tabs sitting there waiting for me to read them after that weekend.

But I have been on the go since last Thursday. I've left the house and crossed roads on Thursday-Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday-Tuesday. And most of those days I haven't slept as much as I'd have liked to at all.

I'm going to bed.

... really cool though? I'm just thoroughly exhausted. I'm not panicking, unable to breathe, feeling sick, entirely confused or All Done. It's deeply strange. Is this what being healthy is like? I could so get used to it.

... *giggles a whole lot*
