I keep on dreaming about babies, combined in various ways with my usual action and adventure dreams. So there was the one where the baby was secretly a plot by all my (dead) enemies to create some kind of superweapon and get me to look after it, only the babyfather got trapped into it and was all horrified by the possible consequences and there was a great shot of him being locked back in his armour and just horrified eyes staring out.
... yes, my dreams have shots and framing and all that.
Then there was the bit where there was a school for magic and someone was about to make a spell that was going to kill hundreds of people and I knew it because babies give you precognition just from all the thinking about the future you do. So I tried to climb up a ladder to get out of the way and get a good view of what was going on and all but, baby, less with the climbing, so I had to get hoisted up by someone letting cloth down for me to grab. And then when I figured out which spell was doing the damage and flicked it out a window it crashed into a different building and blew that up instead, and it was possible it only went wrong because of what I'd done. And then I couldn't join in the magic rescue efforts because baby.
Why am I dreaming babies?
Why am I dreaming how difficult are babies?
Babies are tiny and difficult and take up the whole world (each) and should exist because babies existing is kind of the whole point of babies, which is pretty cool really.
Babies are not, in general, any kind of demonic plot. Even when they're crying.
And the being pregnant parts don't last half as long as the looking after them parts, and those can be shared. Or given away if necessary.
Babies are complicated.
