so far today

wrote plot of script in notebook (a new one I bought last night with grey covers and rainbow dividers. pretty!)
seem to have gone from only having enough plot for ten minutes to having a mini series. and I haven't finished writing it down at all at all yet. Still, onwards! I'll figure out what it's about any day now...

realised it was 0600 and despite three hours of effort I never had got to sleep.
tried again.
got past 0900.

Woken up by alarm at 1200.
Have the Dogman song stuck in my head, alternating with Cher. I'm thinking Dogman has more charm
somewhere in this building a smoke alarm is going off repeatedly, or something is doing a good impression. it's also repeatedly stopping and not setting off the fire alarm. yet.

I must be awake to let the cleaner in.

I didn't order foods because I thought I had enough, but I forgot about drinks and is running out.

I go write some more.

I don't know why this one is happening in pen on paper. it's painful. I mean my hand through shoulder don't know how to do this comfortably at all. and yet. I sit here, nothing, I sit with paper, 15 pages of notes.

maybe the 'about' is anti technology... which would be weird...

Do any of you know actual psychology?
I have English textbooks with some ideas in but they aren't helpful for current project.
So I thought I remembered a thing about 'hierarchy of needs' and found a ton of web pages, but they seem to mostly be Management, which is a title that makes me :-/ even though it's obviously applicable to what I'm trying to figure out, cause it seems to be made of a lot of opinion standing on a wobbly little bit of fact. But it's not like I've actually studied it, so maybe I've only found the rubbishy bits.
I also found a page that looked really interesting until I realised they'd consistently spelled it psycology. That doesn't even pass the spellchecker. It suggests it was written by a non expert. I mean if they'd ever handed in a paper that way someone would have pointed it out.

So I'm looking for some proper would teach it at college this way psychology.
... and possibly management?

I'm trying to invent an interstellar empire. There's a lot of people being in charge of people.
Today I've moved on from the Guards rank structure to the economics of supporting that many soldiers, which is obviously tricky stuff cause people do whole degrees and then the world economy goes boom.

For the purposes of drama the interstellar economy going boom is an actual good thing, so if I get it really wrong that works out! Er, except the whole thing is supposed to have worked for hundreds of years already.

Studying English = studying stories = studying everything anyone ever wanted to write about = studying everything anyone thought was important. In both the 'common belief' and 'contrariwise facts' versions.

... I could just write stuff down and make stuff up, but I like stories to have a skeleton...

I'll probably end up asking in the college library what the intro psych or access level textbook is. Then I'll only have to spend the whole holiday reading it... while re-reading my Sociology Textbook Of Doom... and making a script...
