Then from the noies and the shaking it seemed someone outside my flat was using a rather more literal hammer. *blinks*

... also, am I the only one who hasn't seen Dr Horrible and yet thinks of a particular hammer quote whenever I see the word? It's very unhelpful.


My plans for today were somewhat derailed by me falling asleep again as soon as the painkillers worked. Being biology is annoying.

My plans for this evening are going to the pub for the NSFG meet.

I was going to print my script draft. But either I have to make my printer work, and I haven't even tried for a year so goodness knows what it'll do, or I could go into college and print stuff for free.

Vacation time opening hours for Information Store
Mon - Fri: 9.00am - 5.00pm

... Information Store is what they renamed the library. So now there's a couple of Information Stores and an Open Access Area. Instead of a library and some computer rooms. I feel it's useful to know which one is the library.

Cleaner has been and gone and all is clean :-)
Dishwasher is running. Then I'll put some laundry in.
Make clean day is working.

So. If I want to go use the college printer for 60 pages I have to go in before 5pm, but the pub thing doesn't start until 8pm. Chapelfield mall is open until 6pm. The library in the Forum is open until 8pm every day, with bits of it until 9.30pm. The Forum building is open until midnight all the time. Huh. So, anyway, places to sit and things to do that are not sitting in the pub. So I could go early.

But it would probably be simpler to make my printer work.

First I have a couple paragraphs to tweak in the script.

My stupid printer will not print unless all the colors of ink are in there with fresh working cartridges. Even if you've set it to only use Black. It won't print if you've run out of cyan and only need black.
On the plus side it did print one page before informing me the cyan has run out.

Now I need to go find T0712, T0713, T0714 inks quite quickly.
Argh.

Idiot headlines

I hate headlines in the format "Trains disrupted as person dies"
It should be more like

Person dies
trains disrupted

but nooooo, the traffic report gets the top billing.

And then if you click through it's become "Trains resume after person dies"
so the non-news about trains is still put before the actual news of dead person.

I realise part of that is that there's little information about the dead person and quite a lot available about trains, but still. Priorities.
