Got up, went to college, did studying, came home.
Win!
If I can keep it feeling that routine it is double with with chocolate.

I had to take extra tissues and a rubbish bag and sit on my own and try not to blow my nose while teach was reading stuff out, except teach spent all lesson reading stuff out or asking us questions, so then there was trying to blow my nose quietly while listening to epic simile in heroic couplets.

Now I get until Tuesday to be properly not ill instead of just officially not.

I went through the supermarket on the way home so my freezer now has actual frozen food in it. And my fridge tentatively has some drink and sandwich filling in it. I know the door will have to come off to put the new one on but it can't take very long and I'll probably eat it tonight anyways.

It would be nice if the freezer people would email me back. When they suggested phoning their mobile I suggested email. I should have thought TEXT. But the chances of typo making it go astray are about even either way.

I have food, drink, chocolate brownies in small bite sized pieces, and no pressing need to be anywhere. Awesome!

This book was really, really, really boring.
Teach assures us it is the shortest 18th century novel, so we get to study something much smaller than we might have to suffer through.
But it is full of stupid people doing stupid things that are obviously stupid and then being all pious about them, sort of, kind of badly.

The end of the book is supposed to be a happy ending.
His daughter got secretly married, but the man turned out to not really have married her and to try and sell her as a prostitute to his friends, like he'd done with bunches of women before her. And then she was ruined and infamous and even though her father forgave her once she repented (she had something to repent???) she was all wasting away and then dying.
Except she turns out not to be dead. So that bit is happy.
But then it turns out she really is legally married to the man, because all the other women got a fake priest and a fake marriage bit of paper, but she got a real priest and real paper.
And this is the happy ending.
Her 'husband' tried to sell her to his friends, and being married to him is for *happy*???
Dudes need to work on their definitions.

There was the bit where some of his money was going to her and he wasn't having any money any more except if she gives it to him and so he couldn't live like he used to and she was financially independent
but still, she has to be married to the utter bastard who was the source of all their misfortunes throughout the whole book.

This is not for happy.

At all.

I think the last chapter sent him away to go blow his horn on his own, but still, married. Eeew.

Also, her sister was going to go off and marry her new brother in law's uncle.
That don't seem quite right somehow.
Anything that turns you into your own aunt is ... odd.

Still, on the plus side, I don't have to read it again except the bits we'll study in class. And presumably there's something interesting about those bits.

... presumably there's something interesting about the study of English Literature, which is beginning to feel very samey indeed. Blah.

Leverage started tonight on Channel One. I have now watched one episode.
Shiny!
I love everyone already. They're sparky and do fun things and the proper bad guys go splat and there's a twist in the middle. Also: Christian Kane. Except not just him, there's more pretty. Eliot and Hardison and Parker and can I keep them? And yes, for three seasons at least I can keep them. Win!

I don't know if something with no SF or swords or magic is going to keep my attention. But this one had light sabers so, you know, could work.

It's weird being far behind with TV.
