Went to the shops
May. 17th, 2011 02:19 pmI bought food on the way home yesterday as usual, but when I got it out to make lunch today it turned out to already be opened. So I took it back to the supermarket. They did refund without drama, and then I could have egg and beans and hash brown for lunch.
I was behind someone with number 6 for their food, but there was a slight hitch when it turned out their order had been put through as number 9. And then number 9 was ordered too. And then there were two orders on 9 and none on 6. This is why font matters, there's tons of ways of writing where 6 is not identical to 9. Not the way I'm typing in right now, but still. Every Morrisons with a cafe uses the exact same numbers and they can all muddle up that way. They're on circular tokens too. Imperfect design.
So I ate, yaay, and then I went and bought the stuff I forgot yesterday plus more of the stuff that got refunded. So that worked out.
Now I feel a bit steamrollered and am remembering why I don't usually schedule anything but lie-very-still on Tuesdays. Today I did the dishwasher and the laundry and the shopping. And this evening there's a social thing. Oh, I can already see that's a great plan...
Limitations are annoying. Humans should have better batteries. Swappable. With backups. And this 'sleep' thing should be optional.
