Organisational challenge
Sep. 28th, 2011 04:17 pmWent to college again. Am still not enrolled. That makes 3 (three) weeks. After the enrolment week. I continue to ask my tutor, who continues to ask the admins, but what the problem is I do not know. No part time student on our degree course can enrol yet. And that means I can't get in to blackboard. Also I can't pay for the course. Thus far it's not having an effect on library books but you'd think logically it would eventually, seeing as I'm not, according to the computer, a student.
Fortunately the teachers are used to me and quite expect me to be in class.
Lesson was very boring. It was saying over again all the same things. Also listening to other students say those same things about chapters of book. Also sitting next to N, who is a very twitchy guy. I changed seats so I could hear better, which worked, but now I'm surrounded by humans and realising that my nice small light computer is also much less good at blocking out the rest of the world so I'm distracted by everything everyone else does anywhere. I kept staring at people's watches. They sparkle. It's unhelpful.
Also, no computer chair arrived. I know the teachers have asked for one. I have been CCd on the emails to ask for one. But I don't have one. Which is tolerable for two hours, I merely creak, but is going to be a bitch for five hours if it persists through Friday. It isn't difficult. College has a bazillion chairs with the up and down required. But none of them in those two classrooms.
I have a grumpy. Disproportionate grumpy. *sigh*
Okays, I have reading for Friday, reading for next Wednesday, and oh, a copy of the set text for Friday that I found in the local charity shop. I think someone off the same course put their college books in there cause there were a lot of familiar titles. Win.
