Wherein I have opinions about a Princess

Hot Daily http://www.journalfen.net/community/hot_daily/341952.html for Vintage Friday has Carrie Fisher in the Princess Leia dress with the metal belt. But it made me >:-( because it's not right. Where's her hands? Hands should have a gun! What's with the weird leg bit? That's not ready to kick anything, let alone Imperial arse! ... so I had a grumpy. The thing is, I have seen that pose soooooo many times, and I have seen it used for superheros, but only for women. All off balance, and hide the hands. And it should be so weird. It's like arranging missing body parts. But it's everywhere!

And, okay, given how easy it is to find images of her in the slave bikini, including on my hard drive, I'm maybe complaining too much about a little thing. ... But I like the slave bit, she totally uses it to kill the bad guy and blow up his stuff, big win.

But clothes aren't the whole statement. Poses modify it muchly. Standing there with your hands on your head is weird prisoner surrender statement.

Are there guys who pose the same way? I can think of grabbing the back of their neck to show off their biceps, but that's a bit different.
