another superhero
Nov. 22nd, 2011 08:48 pmI figured out the distinguishing characteristics of Herb, a superhero I dreamed, as played by Zoe Saldana. She's like Poison Ivy, only not evil. And not about sex. I was watching Merlin and it was another story about evil woman causing men to fight over her and then sucking the life out of them. Bored now. There's so much story about the irresistible power of sexy. Evil sexy. And I'm still working on how to turn it around so it's good sexy, since making people stupid with the power of cleavage is still kind of creepy if you only use it for good. But, woman with irresistible mood powers can have ones that are not sexy.
Herb has irresistible power of mellow. People just feel more calm and reasonable around her. Like, it's not so important, you know? They were real worked up a minute ago, but now they just seem to be over it. Like, it's still a thing, but why were they smashing stuff? They can just talk about it. Let them tell you all about it! Possibly over munchies.
So then it's about a woman's power over emotional situations, it's just how she gets them to calm down and put the kettle on, sort of thing.
Also with the manipulating plants, because making trees grab you remains cool.
She still needs a better name, though.
