Again again

I am awake, I had breakfast, and I must now get up to go do the day. :-p
I tell you, if I get to school and find the computer was right and the repeated emails from the tutor were wrong and the lesson actually was on Wednesday there will be glaring. I may hang around at college just to make sure I can glare at the right person. Also some sulking may happen.
... I like it when things are properly organised and do like they're told.

Xanthe sounds like a book series I didn't mean, so I need a new X name.
Which is hard, especially since I wouldn't usually spell things with an X if I heard them, so I might stick with Greek names instead. Anthea or Ianthe. Flower names work on the biotech planet.

Voyager Varduhi Voski.
Voyager is a title and the other names are Armenian. They aren't long each but they're long together.

College without classes

So, you know on Wednesday when I attended my first two lessons and then trundled home, secure in the knowledge that I had double and triple checked and my third class was actually on Friday?
*biiiiiig sigh*

But! The day was not a loss. I found the teacher for the lesson I missed, and he apologised to me.

Also of the good today: on the way into Norwich I saw an icicle fountain, all frozen like the water just stopped. I could only see it from the top deck of the bus very briefly. It was cool.

And then on the way home I ran for the bus and waved and waved and it did indeed wait for me.
... I really need to do more moving. Huff puff.

And I remembered to do the shopping on the way home, and remembered to buy the loo roll.
So on balance I call today a win.

Green Lantern.

I bought the Green Lantern film, because it was very cheap and sitting there on the way out of the supermarket.

So, you know, kind of not the target audience for this film, on a basic values level.

and I kept pausing it to go eat and get more ice cream and stuff.

But when Hal is doing the oath for real?
Oh, that still works.
As does the Corps turning up.

The GL Corps is cool.
But you kind of have to leave open the idea that you, yes you, sitting right there, could be joining it right now.
Not having to fit into a Hal Jordan shape before they'd even consider you.

Matrix characters

Had an idea how to keep number of actors down using theatre tricks, plus simplify character creation. In the Matrix there's no reason anyone should wear a stable avatar. So they can look like whoever. So it's time for fun with doubling. ( Read more... )
