So, you know on Wednesday when I attended my first two lessons and then trundled home, secure in the knowledge that I had double and triple checked and my third class was actually on Friday?
*biiiiiig sigh*
Yeah, no. I missed a lesson on Wednesday.

National Cinema room G7 Wednesdays 1500-1700.

And not, as I was told repeatedly, Friday 12 to 14.
*facepalm*

Nobody got glared at or sulked at, because my tutor was in the room I thought a lesson was going to happen in, and she explained that not only had the students not been told about the changes, the teachers weren't either.

Yes, somebody moved all the lessons around and neglected to tell the people who actually have to turn up and tell people stuff.

Plus the tutor can't actually access our timetables, and didn't have an accurate copy of the timetables any more, and was being asked by all everyone but couldn't find the data. Because it's on the computer. Where she can't see.

Epic fail.

The person who needs glared at is known, but experience suggests I'm not going to be able to find them without waiting all day for my glaring opportunity.
Paperwork may happen instead.

But! The day was not a loss. I found the teacher for the lesson I missed, and he apologised to me.
... I have never skipped a lesson and then had the teacher apologise for it.
I have the reader now, and some idea what we're doing, and... huh, he said he would email it to me, but I don't got an email from him. I don't usually get emails from him. Now I wonder what's up, send or receive.
I spent three hours in the library reading the reader and still have only done about half what was set.
Then I picked up the films from the library, because even though there are links to watch them online, that means watching them really small on my lap. DVDs go on the TV. Also may have extras.
Also I got books out for The Short Story module. I didn't read much of that, it wasn't impressing me. We are supposed to do half an hour of free writing of anything that comes into our heads. Do I ever stop?
the exercises seem aimed at getting non writers started. I hope later there's something useful to someone who writes quite often.

Also of the good today: on the way into Norwich I saw an icicle fountain, all frozen like the water just stopped. I could only see it from the top deck of the bus very briefly. It was cool.

And then on the way home I ran for the bus and waved and waved and it did indeed wait for me.
... I really need to do more moving. Huff puff.

And I remembered to do the shopping on the way home, and remembered to buy the loo roll.
So on balance I call today a win.
