Excellent tidyness
Dec. 28th, 2012 01:42 pmI am still ill. This is still annoying.
But today turned out to be cleaner day, which was a bit of a surprise so nothing was ready and I had to fill rubbish bags while cleaner was here. Which involved quite a lot of having a sit down and leaning on doorways until unleaning was an option. Stupid dizzy coughing blergh ill. I'll get better, I'm just annoyed biology is so messy.
Cleaner made house clean though. I did my half, sort of, eventually, and they did lots of cleaning, and now the bins are empty, nothing smells of last week's take away, and it's generally much nicer in there. They'll be back next Friday too.
I know the cleaner bosses told them no cleaning visits between xmas and New Year, but that would leave my house with 3 weeks of cleanering to do at once, and neither of us wanted that. So cleaner day was rearranged.
Very civilised.
I still haven't watched Doctor Who. I keep accidentally reading spoilers because I open things to read later once I've watched it and then forget what they are and read a bit and go argh now I know spoilers and put them away again and, er, repeat the whole thing later. But I'm hoping if I'm tired enough and just go sleep and feel blergh for a while I'll forget spoilers yet get well enough to watch a whole Doctor Who.
It could happen.
Also today I played with a spreadsheet of stuff from the Magical Medieval City ebook. I quite liked their numbers on professions, they've got many plenty professions, but their numbers on buildings make there be more than 380 pubs in a city of 8000 people. Norwich had a pub for every day, and it was substantially larger than that. I think they've got a bit too much alcohol there. Presumably so an adventurer never has to stumble more than a hundred yards before finding the next adventure seed. I did fiddle the numbers into different wards so I know how many people there are in the shanty town, the gate market, the miners, the makers, the military, and the people in charge. Very small amounts of tweaking the numbers made 4 houses in the Monarch area and 24 each in the Patriciate and Military, so there's a seasons thing for the King and an hours of the day thing for the Important Families, if I want. And really, I may as well, it's always easier to get going when you've got some hooks to hang ideas on.
I'm pretty sure I'll have to check every single bit of spreadsheet again when I'm not ill. I keep finding giant errors of stupid, presumably from when I stopped to cough in the middle of a thought or something. Is annoying. And is why I'm not doing college work, because big mess of it I would make right now.
I think next I'm going back to sleeps. Sleep is nice.
