So far today
Aug. 20th, 2013 10:17 amwatched some 'Teen Wolf' as recorded off Pick TV. With no subtitles. I think it's the third ep I've seen. The other two involved a lot of running in the dark and also some running and running some more. So I figured I probably wouldn't miss much even if I missed the words. And then the episode started with more running. So.
I think one would have to be substantially more interested in teens and a bit more in werewolves and a lot more in watching people run around in the dark in order to be interested in this show.
watched first episode of 'Under the Dome'. Probably bored now. Will try second episode but mostly because I'm epic bored with most things so probable bored at least uses up an episode worth of time.
watched first episode of the 2006 TV series of Blade, also without subtitles. Been meaning to watch it for a while, but it's always like episode 10 or something when I see it on a schedule. This time episode 1, so I set it to season record.
... already it has missed recording episode 2, because my box has recurrent amnesia of late.
Lead dude is a black guy, his weapon builder friend is an asian guy, and there's an ex military woman who gets all the emotional hooks and story mileage thus far. They killed off a guy to inspire her. So far so good, but with reservations. Like, did we need the dead hooker section? That was in the first ten minutes and I nearly turned it off right then. A series that feels the graphic murder of a scantily clad woman will draw in the desired audience is not for me. So I decided if Krista survives to be a major character I want to watch this. But then it was all 'to be continued' and I know I haven't recorded the second bit so I'll have to look stuff up. But she's on the cover of the DVD set so that's promising.
Probably I'll have to buy the DVD set if I want to watch this, lack of subs is irritating.
