I can't decide if today is best or worst day for whatever noisy thing it is people are doing with power tools. It was already cleaner day so there was vacuum cleaner to put up with, and now there's like a generator and power tools and whiiiiiiine of metal being messed with and also drill noises from the hallway. It is best this way because already it was noisy day but it was worst this way because already it was noisy day and now there's moooooore.

Also there are phone calls that need doing and messages to reply to and those are not Tuesday jobs but they need doing but today is full already. :-(

One and a half hours to earliest possible food arrival time. Cannot hide under blanket. Well, can and am, in my chair, but cannot give up on today yet.

I think I need to make Tuesdays have an interesting bit too. At the moment they just have the Cleaner Day things and I remain unenthused.

Also, I'm rewatching Battlestar Galactica, and now I'm nearly at the end of season two I remember why I didn't get season three. It's depressing stories about depressed people and love always turns out to be a bad thing and blergh mess. But, Starbuck and Apollo and Helo and Sharon and everyone. On the one hand, I want to see how things turn out for them, but on the other, I don't want to see things turn out for them the way they seem likely to. Also, too much gods, I wanted science fiction. So I still don't know. I mean, at the moment I'm leaning towards watching more, but I'm not expecting to enjoy it exactly, so possibly it would make more sense to not watch.

Maybe I should just rewatch every DVD I own before buying more. It would take a really long time and be thrifty.

I used to be in fandoms where there were mostly Babes of the Week. They existed solely to have UST with one of the guys, and then at the end of the episode the women went away and the guys went home together. So we ignored the women, because the only real relationship was these two guys who cared about each other more than anything else in their lives. Hence, slash.

But that was a while ago, and there are TV shows with actual women in. Persistent characters with agendas of their own. People as well rounded as the guys ever were. And some of them are dating guys. But TV being TV, they usually break up eventually, or someone gets fridged, or they leave for a spin off show. So I guess I felt like, okay, looking at this, the key relationship? Still two guys. So, more slash.

But now it’s creeping me out: There are women who never break up with their guys, who maybe get married to their guys, who have rings and commitment and stick by them through thick and thin and the world exploding. But we’re in the habit now. We go looking for the two guys. And way too much of the time, we’re the ones who break them up, or fridge them, or figure someone else will write their spin off show. Sometimes we even rewrite whole episodes so the guy gets the girl’s role. And I’ve been reading it, because hey, still slash.

But seriously, what the hell?

Exactly like last week, delivered Berry instead of Citrus drinks. Didn't put it in its own bag, had to get the delivery guy to take the red one out of the orange bag. ... I'm not going to risk an arm made of itch just because some stupid head can't pack properly, and leaks are a realistic worry, as seen in:

Quorn shepherd's pie was actually open, and spilling mince not-meat all over the other things.

Every single time there's something.

Also, they arrived in precisely the last minute before they'd be late, which is still On Time but kind of irritating.

Also also he didn't stick around long enough for me to unpack and check, so when I found the spilled quorn to send back I had to go outside to see if he'd driven off yet. he was still there and said he'd refund it for me, so that works out. but it's raining, so I got rained on.

Next week I'm shopping from Sainsburys even if I need to phone a place to make it actually work this time.

In other news, lazy paid off when one of my difficult phone jobs got done by someone else who then sent the resulting arrangements in email, and another phoned me, which I stutter stumbled through because I hadn't got my head in order for that conversation but I still did that whole conversation and now they'll send me a form to fill in and send back with evidence and things are making progress. Yaay progress.

That still leaves two emails and a phone call for dealing with tomorrow. It is after 5pm so no more dealing with things today. The rest of today is for food and watching and reading stuff.
