Never ever done
Sep. 16th, 2013 05:09 pmSome days I just want to throw a tantrum because jobs never get done. I mean, I do things, but then immediately they need doing again. I send a message, someone replies, and instead of things being All Sorted they ask again the same things they asked before and oh look I have to think everything over again and do the message again again. I buy foods, I eat foods, I need more foods. Even if every iteration makes some incremental progress, which isn't even so much true, it can take weeks to even set up one meeting when all the letters have been 'hi yes we have meeting on x day at y time in z place'. Why so many? I do not know! There's just going to be many. Because they feel like it. Or something. So I do the difficult thing, and as soon as it's done it needs doing again! And then tantrum.
*sulk*
I want to do something like build a building where you do it and it is done. Sure there's maintenance tasks afterwards, but they are of a different sort. You continue to have a building. You never wake up in the morning and discover the same damn building needs built over again except in response to disasters. It's not like cooking or cleaning or ... being. Day to day things happen and happen and happen. I want to do some big Thing that Happens. You know?
... like wanting to be in a movie for once instead of a TV series?
Is TV mostly about stuff that needs done every week? I mean, Buffy did singing about how she has to go slay vampires every week, but individual foes do tend to stay slain. Nobody tells the tale of dinner or cleaning or laundry a tenth as many times as dinner and cleaning and laundry get done. They tell of the banquets and the spring cleans and the one off gowns instead.
Because this stuff gets boring and yet does not get easier.
*sulks a lot*
... okay, so, this is a stupid tantrum and I should stop having it now.
I should have breakfast instead. Or dinner. I'm back to waking up at such a time it's about the same thing.
Blergh.
