Fire Watch
Sep. 28th, 2018 12:58 amI was failing at sleep (attempting to wind down just leading to panic zaps about how nothing is secure ever)
so I picked up The Time Traveller's Almanac and read another story.
Like many in the Almanac I've read it before, but I'm glad to have it collected, because it's a definite classic on the theme.

That is a lot of a story.
I find I do not want to summarise it, because I don't think it can say it shorter, really.
But the image of them setting out to save St Paul's over and over again, night after night... that'll stay with you.
