more Big Finish Doctor Who

I listened to Vortex Ice / Cortex Fire today, Big Finish audios probably 225.
Vortex Ice was one of those time loops where you can't change anything, and added to this season of TV Doctor Who I just... ugh. No. Nope. This is not what DW is about. Sure it's what some time travel stories are about, but the Doctor brings hope, and that means making a difference. So I'm entirely, utterly, done with fixed point or unchangeable destiny stories. Bother the lot of them.

Cortex Fire was a bit interesting but I had distracted myself with something entirely unrelated and wasn't paying it as much attention, probably because the time loop one was annoying. There was something about nihilists? And a species with a collective subconscious that was trying to kill them all? But it turned out to be... you know, I'm not entirely clear on that. Possibly something from Beyond? But the idea of a collective consciousness, a planet wide neural network, that was just feeling really down this century, that's relatable. Depressing, but relatable.

... I shall listen or watch something else, these two didn't cheer me.

NSFG is basically the two of us plus my driver, but it is still conversation, so.
... maybe I can make advertising for the next group?
... which will be third week of January now, because December interrupts all routines.
