more Pathfinder planning

I like reading rpg worldbooks, they're deliberately made of maximum plot hooks.

So far I read about the test of the Starstone and decided to become a god, and read about the assassin god who specifically takes against people trying to take god powers and that his assassins dont hunt kings and decided to become a king.

Now I read about the Linnorm Kings, who become King by carrying the head of a Linnorm into a city.

Linnorms are not dragons according to dragons, but they're really big snakes with arms and breath weapons and they look pretty dragonish to me.

So I already was mentally stacking up Dragonriders of Pern, Temeraire, and How to Train Your Dragon, plus possibly Dinotopia, when I read further down the page and one lady King has indeed taken the loophole and brought the head attached to the Linnorm.

The linnorm in question tells everyone she defeated it, but, if you want to stretch a precedent, she has a linnorm friend...

... new plan, make friends with Linnorm.

They're at least 50 feet long. The taiga ones have lightning breath. The illustration has shiny white scales to match the snow.

... looks friend shaped.




So this plan is shaping up nicely. Befriend linnorm, become king, become god.

I'm sure that doesn't take being level twenty to even get started...

World guides for world I may never play: still already a good investment. This is hours of fun on daydreams alone.




Is fiction set in rpg worlds fanfic?
I kind of want to have a different world for it, because sure you're using licenced content, but that content was specifically designed to be used.

By a group of friends out loud, but still.


I also keep wanting to translate fictional characters because the different worlds make them such fascinating new shapes.
Which would be fanfic
but several steps into a xover au
so not fanfic with an audience.


Oh well, daydreaming is fun too.
