and I listened to mouse songs
and watched two episodes

I also found from the internet the mouse song in its original form might be better known as

... I like the various We Will Fix It words better so far.







ETA : I remembered I started looking becauses I windered what Bard cantrips would sound like
and obviously Mending is a mouse song

Prestidigitation could be from Sword in the Stone where Merlin packs, because Prestidigitonium is one of the words. And he does a cleaning spell later.

Animate Object is easy, that's from Bedknobs and Broomsticks.



... this is fun, but now I'm thinking it's tonally jarring next to, you know, the average dnd adventure... one bard singing children's classics, one battlefield full of undead...

Utopia

I keep circling back to space colonies because they're a civilisation but small enough to imagine. Like, one paper reckoned you need 40,000 distinct genetic lines to create a self sustaining human population, though a study on Neanderthals recently reckoned they could have died of pure bad luck at 70,000 and I don't know what the difference was. But even if you need one whole Norwich on another planet, it is easier to imagine a Norwich than an Earth, you know?

But someone else asked about what an ideal future civ would look like using a different phrasing, and I'm not sure I could answer their one, so I noodle here again.

mum did visit and we chatted for hours
and I ran the washing machine to see if it would puddle but 🤞 so far no puddle
so we conclude something got stuck in the seal that one time before and now I've run the towels twice

win.

fridays are a tired day but this was okay.
