beccaelizabethGot my marks back from last week group presentation assignment. 68%, which is good.
Of course overall it is 68% of 5%, which is... smaller.
We seem to be spending a *lot* of class time just talking amongst ourselves lately. I realise group work is helpful and all, but I kind of like it when lessons have lots of nice new data in them, and interesting thoughts. Not that my classmates can't be interesting, but due to steady class shrinkage none of them are sat near enough to talk to me at the moment. So that doesn't work very good.
OTOH I got towhine talk about Doctor Who in class today for perfectly legitimate cultural studies type reasons.
Well, mostly legit.
Well, the teacher mentioned it first... that counts, right?
*ahem*
ANYways. Next unit we choose a topic and do research and come up with a presentation on our own. I'm going to do something about fandom, in the write what you know principle. But it has to be something that lets me show off about how many isms I have learned. Will ponder.
I have a timed essay to write, and also the essay from this unit. Both large chunks of marks. Timed essay to hand in next week, other essay week after next. Haven't started either yet.
On the bright side, if I end up doing this unit again again, I'll be *really really* good at it.
