Tuesday: Stayed home
Apr. 7th, 2020 11:59 pmI tried a new food and it turned out to be Nope and that was unfortunate.
Played Sims until the mouse battery ran out and failed at swapping it out.
I tried reading the combat tules for Pathfinder again, since those would be important if I ever actually played, but I got distracted after the first page.
... I'd be happy playing combat with munchkin cards or something, it is not fascinating.
My idea of a power fantasy where I get to be the greatest
involves having the most gigantic diplomacy score
just the greatest at negotiation
talk anyone into anything
and also listen real well so I can figure out the equitable solution.
Add to that a bunch of magic that can prepare food and housing and, in some circumstances, air
and that covers most problems
save the world with words
and make it so everyone is on my side.
Best game, that would be.
... Pathfinder only has one dice roll for that and like a bazillion for combat.
... maybe I want another game...
I like all the worldbuilding stuff though. There's so many subsections to the setting you can just go around fixing the world forEVer. And I like re reading setting stuff and imagining adventures.
I'd like reading more adventures too
and they're having abig sale on pdfs at paizo right now
but I have met me and I have a lot (a lot) of unread downloads that I've just plain forgotten about.
Paper adventures are harder to forget about, even if the to be read pile is equally insurmountable.
I should try actually playing some time but that seems complexly social.
For now I shall do daydreaming with the setting books as scaffolding.
