Oct. 7th, 2020 06:16 amToday I got bored and started drawing potential tattoos on me.
The butterfly on my chest should have been drawn like 90 degrees turned around, then all the movement looks like wings flapping. But its not bad for a first try at that drawing angle.
The Stargate dial home code on my arm is a bit wonky again. I try and get it straight, it looks fine until I put the last symbol in. Arms do a lot of twisting and there is no straight on there but there sure is wonky.
Also having black on there makes my existing tattoo look super faded. I mean it is a bit antiqued in style, but still. That could have gone better.
Tattoo placement is tricksy because things that look good on paper and things that look good on bodies are not the same things. Bodies are very bend stretch twisty turny. Paper does not give clues for that.
I only have the one tattoo and I've been pretty happy with it for many years now.
The others stay consistent in my head but when I try drawing them on, not so simples.
I am, as you can tell, suuuuuuper bored, yet unable to focus on any non boring thing for long enough to get unbored.
It is not the fault of any given potentially interesting thing.
Just I've been reading the news and... *big sigh*
... excel, of all things...
I was planning to draw a second butterfly, but I think Argynnis Pandora is a bit complex for my art skills. Is green gold black tho.
Maybe a Seal of Rassilon somewhere...
