Been a quiet week
Aug. 13th, 2022 09:13 pmThis week I watched a lot of Leverage
A Lot
and I'm currently reading fic
where Eliot is failing to understand that others value him as a human person who should not get hurt either
and it is too plausible
so I have to keep putting it down
while I want to pick a fight with the universe.
... fictional character feels
*sigh*
it's like they ought to be easiest to fix, but no, for this fic is Long and I must read how they fix it for him first.
Also I have finished rereading Moving Pictures, by Terry Pratchett.
I kind of stalled in the middle because I'm not feeling very Hollywood right now.
Like yes, many fun bits, and the realisation at the end that they just have to keep creating is a good one, but...
it's like today Neil Gaiman answered an ask about why he changed where x scene was set and the answer was, basically, covid
and
I have this vague feeling that my lack of engagement with the book this time
was kind of like that?
like someone is asking a question they expect a creative answer to
and the answer is more like
*waves at entire world in general*
A lot of stories I'm just not feeling
because
*waves at entire world in general*.
... but thinking about it, the answer remains,
keep creating.
*ponders*
