Today's rather frustrating reading: a fix it fic that decided the way to fix things was to get rid of the female lead.

I know sometimes the show writers do not do well with a character, and make it real easy to dump every flaw and failure on her doorstep, but it does not feel good when a fan writer just agrees.

But reacting another way means deciding it's the writers who did all that stuff, not the women.
And who wants to break their view of their favourite shows that way?
