not that I've seen any explanation for how the food supply works in worlds where so many things consider people food. all these places detailed as adventure playgrounds, none that know where the next meal is coming from.
... that said I just remembered the specific map I was frustrated about is an area that kind of overlaps with the First World, where the fey live, otherwise described as the sketch that underlies reality. So it's no surprise if it is literally looney toons stuff...
