Argos is selling dragon skulls and I have one and it is as big as I hoped
and
it just fits in the gap I had for it :-D
... I've been trying to order one since last year but from Sainsburys, which listed but did not send it. Swapping shops worked.
Today's vague interest led to me searching for corsets on the internet
a frustrating task
hampered by the thing where the pictures think they need to look sexy.
I think a few of the pictures could benefit from remembering we are not looking to buy the women
we need to actually see the garment.
Construction matters, fastenings matter, materials matter,
the item you are looking to buy is the bit of the picture that matters.
Also frustrating: I just don't trust the vast majority of listings because I don't see how you get materials for that little let alone construct something structurally sound.
I do not want a repeat of the Crumpling Corset Incident.
(concertina zig zags in alleged steel boning are very uncomfy)
I do not believe I shall be buying a corset at this time.
I did however find a selection of patterns available that look brilliant, lots of historical ones, garments that look like they have fuction as well as form.
So the internet can provide, ish.
I think I got prompted by a tumblr post on the uselessness of costume shop clothing construction.
I was only looking because I started with Pathfinder
(as usual lately)
and the whole Witch class seems to make some Assumptions about the character
so you get magic items like
The Corset of Dire Witchcraft.
But since men can be witches that leads to somewhat unusual costumes.
But the visuals can be more armour belt y.
In Wrath of the Righteous for instance

is just a red version of a basic armour item

which can be worn by monks and magic users so generally is.

... it's not his usual look but you can't say he wouldn't.
I was just poking the internet until I woke up enough to think of something to do but that does not appear to have happened.
Maybe a naps sort of day.
