Today I got 15/16 on a 'Welsh or Elvish' test
despite speaking neither language.

... I was guessing based on letter combinations I've seen on place names.

Have finished listening to The Union.
The run around to plot ratio was not favourable and fitting all the characters in left little time for, well, anything, and yet
it managed to hit some excellent emotional notes.

It landed a sad I didn't see coming even though it is completely logical
when it revealed when in the Doctor's timeline they were
and then did a grand review of who the Doctor is.

And Susan got to hear some stuff that is rather past due.

It was such sweeping stuff though that you have to have listened to *a lot* of Big Finish to follow it, and the series as a whole managed to puzzle me repeatedly, even though I have listened quite a lot of Big Finish. So to get to the good bits you kind of have to roll with the puzzlement. And I am still not quite keen on the replacement voices, though they're quite good, I find them a bit more difficult to follow.

Grand story attempted and lots done, but, I felt like my focus was getting tugged around as often as the Doctor's, which was... a lot.

Not a favourite but I think I'm glad they tried it.

Whoever has been playing music is
probably the exact same age as me
given I recognise all of it

but they really really really need some headphones.

(also there is a limit to how many times you should play wonderwall in one evening)
(it is one)
(unless you have headphones)
