beccaelizabethJust watched The Girl In Question. Well, kinda watched. I have the habit of turning the sound off if I know they're about to say something cringingly embarrassing. I watched almost all the Spike-Angel-Rome storyline with the sound off. It was nasty. I could see them acting. I can never see them acting. The feeling was not there and everything was wonky. It actually made me tearful. We have tiny numbers of episodes left, and they give us this? I feel cheated. And slightly sick.
But, if I reach, I can find depth in the bits I did see. So, eventually, I'm going to watch it again with the sound on, and see what I can dig up. But for right now, even the probably slashiness of much of this ep does nothing for me, because that was not Spike and not Angel and not an Angel episode. They were just empty and all wonky and off.
Mostly I say stuff on the soulful spike board, but today I had to say this for the record. This is the first episode of Angel I have ever felt this way about, but I think it was actually bad.
I'm willing to be persuaded otherwise by more data, but I'm not hopeful.
