Happy now :-)
This one was a proper Doctor Who adventure. With Amy and Rory being Amy and Rory shaped, and the Doctor being mad and brilliant. And a puzzle with time. And lots of women, lots and lots, as well as some men, which isn't always achieved in stories so I appreciate it. Also there were young women making decisions as the heart of the book, which I like. And blowing people into small chunks was a bad thing and running away was a good thing, especially if it's to see what there is out there, and this is proper Doctor Who.
Even with amnesia a lot Rory managed to be Rory. And he was kind and caring and a bit awkward and kind of intimidated by his wife but in a good way somehow, the I don't want to mess this up or miss this way. And he is and isn't the plastic Roman, and if he had to wait another couple of thousand years he would find the way. :-)
And Amy jumps in with both feet and decides things and makes friends and talks to people and objects to what shouldn't happen and comes up with plans that work. Hello Amy!
And there was a theme thing with the 1917 setting and the ship and the wars. I like it.
I like this book. :-)
