College: now they're just taking the piss
Sep. 13th, 2011 08:49 amI went to look at the campus map.
In previous years I've seen a pretty colour coded thing with alphabet labels to tell you what classrooms could be found in which building.
Today? Red buildings, black lines, and a very neat diagram of where all the toilets are. Which, okay, yes, useful in its own way, but where the frak are the classrooms please.
Not like it's the first week back for a few thousand people. Not like they'll be wanting to know.
*facepalm*
aha, because I never throw anything away, I have my own copy of a pretty one marked 2005.
Wednesday is in C4B, upstairs in the Norwich building, the one with the library in. (or the Information Store. With it's Book Zone. :eyeroll:)
Friday ... will presumably have a room by Friday.
The second years and some of semester 2 seems to live in F214. F is in the Wroxham building above the hairdressers and the cafe.
Actually closer comparison with the old pretty 3D campus picture and the new flat red map shows another flaw: the toilets are all marked, but the new one doesn't tell you what floor they're on. The old one has a go at showing what level they're on.
I know that little maps are a bit tricky sometimes, but, why make them progressively less useful?
