zomg melting now

beccaelizabethToday was warmer than I expected. Much, much warmer. The classroom was cold, because air conditioning, but then outside was very warm.
I has melting now.
So, today:
My MP3 player stopped working. I turn it on and nothing happens. I had no Doctor Who on the bus. *big sulking*
So I bought a new one on the way home. I tried to buy from HMV but they're totally redoing the shop display, nothing is out yet, they say on monday there will be All The Things. But I have no patience. So I went to a different shop I can't remember the name of in the mall and bought one for £20. If it turns out not to work right I still only spent £20. I've spent that on meals. If it works it lasts much longer than a meal.
My headphones were also broken. The wires were showing. This was annoying because they are new for this semester.
So I took them back to Morrisons to go :-(
I didn't have a receipt so I didn't expect anything more than to go :-( at someone and go home
but it turns out they would exchange them for the exact same thing only working
so possibly :-) if these ones continue to work.
I went to the bank to be puzzled about not being able to pay my visa card online. They said other people have also come in being puzzled. They also had suggestions where to find the button. But I just paid the whole thing. I only use it for dodgy new online places anyway, very seldom use the credit card at all. So it is paid and will probably stay at 0 for ages again.
The bus was very hot. Walking is very hot.
I walked past the hairdressers and it said OPEN but nobody was there. Again. I go past on foot, it is closed. Only when I am in a car is it open. Is confusing.
I got food at the supermarket and also DVDs. Now I don't feel like watching anything. Maybe I'll melt in a puddle instead.
The actual college parts of the day were a bit frustrating. I would quite like to work with a different group but as per usual there is only one (working) plug place in the room (the other one hanging off the wall in a dodgy looking spray of wires) so I have to sit where I sit. This leaves me working with people who talk about hair and nails and look up spark notes on their phones when we're meant to be working on poems and don't recognise a sonnet when they see one and don't want to know the meaning of words that we have been told to look up because those words aren't in our verse when there's only three stanzas and also working with the guy with the assistant. I used to work with that assistant. Needing an assistant is not an issue. Inability to be concise or moderate volume kind of winds me up. I don't say anything, because he's doing studying and it's only in my head there is problem. It just kind of gets on my nerves.
Also the level of basic reading comprehension among fellow students who are in their final year is just deeply depressing.
I could never be a teacher.
I bought the wrong fruit for lunch and didn't like it and had hungry.
Then there was a fire alarm.
We weren't quick leaving the room because nobody wanted to leave their stuff behind, which would be stupid if there was a fire. I failed at my own standards, too many seconds. But I was the only one who went to the fire assembly point instead of congregating at the bottom of the stairs. Some points for that.
It was a very organised fire alarm and then it stopped and everyone could go home.
That was when I went into Norwich and did buying an MP3 player and melting on the bus.
I am still not enrolled at college. It is still not my fault. Teachers spent all of lunch time today working on the problem. Next week I'll probably get enrolled. And then I can go on Blackboard and read things that teach says are on blackboard for to read. Which will help.
I'm still rather bored with college.
Also today we studied charge of the light brigade and teacher explained it to sound boring and annoying again.
Though we did listen to Tennyson read it, which was kind of cool.
Next we study Goblin Market, which is cool.
