Dec. 5th, 2011 03:00 pmHave started looking for Steve/Tony fic. How do Marvel people navigate A03? There's a bewildering variety of ways of saying Iron Man and Captain America fandom. I know movie 'verse isn't going to be like comics, and I know they connect up, and there's a handy tag for Marvel Movies, so that's easy to look in. But is it going to find everything filed as Captain America 2011? There's also a ton of fic tagged Avengers 2012, which is a good trick, with the not even existing yet. And are all the movies based on marvel comics going to link up or just the ones that are going in Avengers? I don't know.
... I don't know why I'm reading this, except someone linked a bunch and it was happy making.
Typos are not happy making. Anyone writing fic with Thor really, really needs to learn the difference between lightning and lightening. Granted, google images gives you a lot of lightning for lightening and asks if you actually meant lightning, but that doesn't make it correct. Also, it really helps to be able to spell SHIELD. Or shield, if there's Captain America in it.
I should sleep at some point. Typos are a lot easier to ignore when I haven't been awake all the way around.
PS Weather is not whether. I know the spellchecker can't get these things, but still, arrgh.

Date: 2011-12-06 01:40 pm (UTC)The AO3 is a bit confusing, but I went looking on other archives when I ran out of AO3 fic lately and found them incredibly aggravating in comparison, trying to find what I wanted without the ticky boxes I wanted, so I guess it's just really complicated.
Now I seem to have read all the fic again. I mean there's a hundred fics left but they're all only a couple thousand words or less. Is the problem with suddenly falling for such specific and currently non existent version of canon. And wanting long fic. And being picky. ;-)
