Now that's a speciality the wedding games haven't tried yet.
But everything from a couple of big lads to explain the free bar was for guests up to the kind of small campaign necessary for those just short of state protection was part of a full service wedding plan.
The big day is stressful enough without being the sort of person who might get kidnapped for the ransom.
There was even a plan for people who'd been shot at in the last week. It involved another two big lads, standing front and back so there was no clear shot. If the shooting was in the past day there'd need to be a whole circle of them.
I was not ideal for that aspect of the job, but for sufficiently short brides I could be better than nothing.
Plus being able to go a bit Matrix on the world, slow things down, run up walls, maybe even stop bullets with a wave, that was sort of a major advantage. The main useful skill though was ability to see patterns, and hence see the sharks among the sheep.
Which was how I'd spotted that almost all the Avengers, except Hulk, were attending this particular wedding.
It wasn't the first time I'd met Tony Stark. That had been a big society wedding where it turned out being the only unattached woman who wasn't trying to sleep with him was the best way to get his attention. I got off work when the happy couple got to the plane, and we got off shortly after. I didn't expect him to remember though. Everyone's had him once.
I thought the bride to be looked like Queen Amidala.
So logically I know who that was in the Marvel movie 'verse.
But in the dream I didn't recognise her.
Also the guest list was kind of gigantic for a lone science geek.
But she was unfamiliar with being guarded, with the idea that some people were willing to stand there and get shot to try and stop bullets getting to her, and pretty shocked by it. Which Amidala couldn't have been for a very long time.
I think my subconscious smushed them.
I guess that's one way to get a better ending for the Queen.
Thor is a way better idea than Skywalker, even with the family issues.
So now I'm imagining Thor's wedding. Specifically, trying to do security at Thor's wedding.
Leaving aside that SHIELD would be the ones all over that, woah would that ever have issues with its issues.
