Home from the Hub 8
Apr. 16th, 2012 04:26 pmI opened this window to post and then mum phoned and asked me all about the weekend so an hour later:
Still home from the Hub :-)
That was fun. Three nights of dancing, some conversations, lots of guest encounters, lots of taking notes, watching talks, screenings, and a quiz. Many LOLs. Couple of photographs. And some being in the lift with guests. Quite a lot of that actually, I seem to have got on a synchronised schedule. I think I even made appropriate conversation noises when addressed. Or near enough.
Absolutely definitely more fun than staying home would have been, which was all I wanted out of the weekend.
I hadn't been going to Hub cons when there's people from Children of Earth or Miracle Day because I'm not a fan of those bits. I thought maybe people still going to cons would be fans of all the parts and I'd have nothing to talk about. But, er, not so much. And there were many conversations full of theories of why MD was not quite right. Plus all the guests were in first two seasons and both screenings were from those seasons, and it was just like a TW con from the show I actually was/am a fan of. So that was good fun.
I will type up my notes, or at least bits of them. But many things were LOLs that don't really write down.
I did ask many people what they would take to an alien planet.
Everyone in the guest encounters was asking interesting insightful questions about acting and writing and music and suchlike, and I was leaving them to it, but then I realised, there's a bunch of different guest encounters, so everyone is going to be asked these questions over and over all the times. So I ask something daft that they won't have had before.
I didn't find much edible at the hotel though, so now I need to eat.
And then sleep.
I don't think I've slept more than four hours a night, and I couldn't sleep past 0630 at all at all.
After staying up until after the party ended at 0130.
Catching up on reading list logically should wait.
