beccaelizabethI went to college and talked to my tutor.
He reckons I've got all the ideas I need for a good dissertation. Possibly he said fascinating? Something nice.
Now I just have to write them all down in a row.
... wow, I'd not have thought of that...
he doesn't reckon I'll fail from not having it written. I have written a ton of stuff it just needs to be arranged in dissertation form.
That does not sound like just to me. that sounds like arrgh arrgh going to faaaaaiiiiillllll.
But he's not worried at all.
So, I have 3 weeks left where I can send things to him and get feedback, and then another couple of weeks where I get to flail alone.
I said I'd send more next week.
Didn't say when next week. Suspect Friday. Thinking is hard.
Conversation was not very useful because my brain didn't have thoughts in it. But printing out all my notes to go in the big blue box was in fact useful, since OMG there's a ton of those things, I made a lot of notes, that's notes and more notes on them.
Also I made my nice neat bibliography. It is now the time to Stop Reading and Write, so I can write it up properly. I've read quite a lot of stuff. So that's heartening. Data at least went in.
One week. More chapters writing up what I already say a lot about companions. Can do.
also an introduction. those a tricksy. how can I write what I'm going to write until I've writ it?
So after I did that talking and printing bit I went to other college building to do photocopying and handing books back. It was maybe not necessary to go to other college to do that but I had planned it that way so I did it. Stupid photocopier was stupid and kept telling me to add more paper, until I jiggled it and lifted the lid and shut it again. Percussive maintenance is not recommended but the stupid thing just wouldn't do anything without things being opened and shut. So it took at least twice as long to copy as usual. And then I realised my little notes flags only show up if they're orange or pink, they don't show up in yellow or green at all. So I had to go through highlighting all the yellow and green bits before I gave the book back.
They didn't ask me for any library fine for being a couple days late with those books.
But I did paid them in advance for interlibrary loans and then one of them didn't be existing or arriving or something. So I think they're ahead anyway.
Then I went up to Sainsburys and did shopping.
... ow.
Movement leads to ow, it's annoying.
I have vegetable spring rolls and potato omelettes and some quorn things and some bread that isn't a week past date and a ginger cake that probably isn't quite what I want but was what I could see.
I have pains in my hips and legs and back and shoulders.
I like deliveries. Deliveries hurt much less.
I should do moving around more often. Creaky.
So.
One week to have another chunk to show teacher.
No more readings.
can do this.
or, if I can't do this, have only limited number of weeks where this fact has to worry me.
