ANYways
why aren't grim reapers just all the way dead? I mean as ghosts they wouldn't have to do all this dress up and infiltrate stuff, nobody living could see them, much tidier.
Okay, so that would be the writer reason why they aren't.
I guess an in-story reason could be that ghosts cant do a whole lot. They cant really interact with anyone. And all the reapers seem to have a whole ton of unfinished business, so the interaction thing seems key to clearing that up. Plus without that it would be really, really, really boring for them.
So as undead they get to wander around being practically normal with this odd extra job. Nice for them. You know, assuming the job needs doing at all in the first place.
