beccaelizabethI've been playing Sims 3 with the World Adventures expansion. My big box computer can't quite keep up, it seems, despite what it said on the game box. Or possibly I misread the game box, I don't know, computer is its own language. It keeps being stuttery and getting stuck, and this morning I played about six hours before it crashed and turned out not to have saved the game at all at all. You have to go and press save. It's annoying.
I looked at the task manager while the game was stuck and the CPU graph was all squished flat against the top of the box. Too much busy. So maybe I need more computer? But I bought it to play games on. Boo.
Maybe I should get a games console? Do they get stuck?
Mostly though I should do things that involve leaving the house. That would be more better.
Sims is fun when it works. I like going digging through tombs. Also I like that if you mourn at the tombs then secrets show up. Like, be decent human, get shiny.
I like the gardening and nectar making and fishing and cooking. The martial arts is a bit limited though. Like, you can use it for formal sparring, but not when fighting a burglar. Also the sparring is weird, I went to do a tournament and the sims kept going in the bathroom to fight. It's weird enough that they'll go to the base camp but not the martial arts academy, but once there, bathroom.
So far I have only one sim in a house and I'm not spending much time on making friends when it's not required for an adventure. Last time I played Sims I got depressed cause they have a better social life than me. :eyeroll: Mostly though I just get bored with telling them to go chat when I could be making things.
Today was cleaner day and I did my half of the jobs and ran the dishwasher and right now the laundry is running. Yaay for accomplishments.
I'm also vaguely watching some Musketeers. It's very brown, isn't it? I mean, it's like they don't know colors happen. Brown and black clothes and more brown and also some black. And even the blue musketeer uniform cloak is a mushy boring blue. History was not washed out. It should have some zing. Plus they were red team and blue team, not brown and also brown. Blergh. I'd worry my TV was busted but it's fine for everything else so they must have just decided to muddy up this one show and make brown things that clearly should be colors.
Mostly though I'm bored of the stories and characters. I keep watching the first twenty minutes while I eat and stopping to put the plates away and then not really caring enough to watch the other half. I do watch it, because it's not like I've got anything else to watch, but blergh boring.
Also they're all stupid. Stupid to make the plot work. One wonders why these particular musketeers keep being picked to do things when they're such stupid heads.
Bored.
Not even bored in a way that can be bothered to do better things with the characters. Pretty though Aramis is. I'm just bored.
