"Huh"
That was best. That was best.

That was a great episode, and then the sting, boom, completely turn everything around, and I didn't see it coming and yet it's completely fair.
I'm sitting here hugging myself, that was most best!

Okay, so, I had seen spoilers, again, but this time they didn't spoiler the most best bit, so that was great to watch.

May is awesome. Hill is awesome. Skye is also awesome. Deathlok!Mike gets to be awesome. And Phil is best.

Ward is also continuing to be much more interesting this way around.
also, if Ward has not yet realised he's picked the side that treats everyone like dirt, he really should notice now. nothing personal, he says. nothing personal, he gets in return.
Phil's team approach is all personal, which also has its drawbacks, but I think Ward is going to miss it.

I love Skye's reactions throughout. And her plan. And her not letting him die, because it's nice when heroes have like morals. The geo coding was excellent plan, and her fake out was excellent also, and I just love that Skye is getting to be smart in a shown way. I like her now. I especially like her feeling kind of sick cause Ward thinks it matters he's having a feeling when he's acting like that.

Boo to Ward.
There remains room for him to wake up and switch sides again, but in the meantime he's getting all beat up and it's hard to be sad about it.

Ace captured by Hydra :-( So Mike's stuck. Well that has potential...

Fitz and Simmons and Tripp had less to do this time. Fitz mostly had a feelings really loud. Is good that they're not gendering the freakout and unhealthy degrees of attachment. Hope he grows up soon though. Him and Ward both are looking at a girl like she'll save them, and not being sure of your allegiance, your basic morals, because of a girl? That's not actually flattering. That's messed up. But those two have a lot more in common than seems like a good idea at all. (Good writing idea, bad being a person idea.)

Coulson the hero! Lola! The hopefully still flying car? Because is clearly the coolest part. I'd seen that on tumblr but it just looked better in its right place.

... it was funny though, because before in the break there was a 'sponsored by specsavers' ad for X Men First Class that I saw a couple times before consciously realising what was odd about it: they'd taken all the moments anyone wears glasses and made them the most prominent. Which is, you know, not the main focus of the actual movie. And then there's the 'sponsored by playstation' bit at the ends of the breaks. So then when the car is falling past a lot of branded names? Er, yeah, that's... not subtle. *sigh*

I like May figuring what Fury meant about burying that data. He's not subtle, just tricksy.

And I loooooove the reveal about TAHITI. That's... it makes all the sense and it's still surprising. :-D

Watching Phil deal is going to be fun.

... watching Phil have consequences is not. I like him best, no bad things should happen.

I feel like they've done what I said, had two layers of hiding, the attractive and aversive, and this actual true thing hiding so far underneath Phil didn't even go looking for it. And this way is the only vaguely ethical way to do memory wipe, when he's the one that recommends the wiping. Except he recommended not doing it at all at all.

Plus they didn't just erase his resurrection, they erased every last bit of TAHITI, including whenever the hell that file was from. After Avengers were a plan but before they were a reality, presumably. So he's missing chunks of his life still.

Also, for fanfic fans keeping score, this is the first of the reasons that I could believe would keep people away from Phil if they found out the truth. I mean, if they're scared he's suicidal, mind wipe is not the answer, just giving someone a reason, which means their friends. But if they're scared that him remembering necessarily means losing him to whatever happened to all the other test subjects? That Phil decided it would always lead to that? They're not going to rock the boat. The only way to have any him back is to lose bits. On purpose. That's his own best judgement. And it finally makes sense.

If he was the first test subject and they didn't know what side effects might be, the way they're treating him don't make so much sense. But he's the one after the program was closed down, so they know the problems, so it makes sense to be watching and waiting for them to happen.

That's makes sense if you figure bringing him back under these circumstances makes sense at all.

It's not looking like a good bet, if it went wrong every single other time.

What other times? Where are the survivors at?

I love it when reveals make more story after that.

Lovely chewy ethics problems with new layers. Yaays!

So there were shooty parts and flying parts and flying cars yaays and lots of character and
I love this show. This version of this show? So awesome.

And it got renewed for a second season :-) :-) :-)
