Dreamed I was magic tripping in this fairy garden that was just so totally itself. Trees! So tree! And the grass, dude! Grass! And it was just, like, green, and totally a garden, right? So I was epic, epic tripping, in love-you-all mode, and it was awesome.
I woke up in the best mood I've been in in months. No chemistry required.
So then in the dream I got to the end of the garden and there was this angel of the garden and I pledged my service to them, and then I was like, wait, what? And it was bucket of cold water time, because service? Angel? And really, is it likely to be an angel if they get you to pledge your soul via tripping? Only, kind of yeah, because the whole ecstasy of creation bit has much precedent. Joy to the world, right? Like you can tell these are the good guys if it feels that good without pharmaceuticals.
So then I was, like, changing alignments, and kind of confused about it. Because chaotic neutral just promised to be Good, right, so was I chaotic good now? That's like Robin Hood. That's pretty green. Ranger. I could do that. Except for how I totally can't do that with the clumsy, but that's a whole other thing. So it was like a major revision in world view. Because grass.
And then there was a bit with Bucky, only my dreams seem to have really taken to heart Sebastian Stan's tendency to be crying and gay, so it was substantially about that. And about coming out. So first he was coming out to his mom about being a magic user, so I helped explain that because she'd been reading Diane Duane's Young Wizards books, so that was her first referent instead of the whole deals with the devil thing he'd been afraid of. I said it was a lot like that, only we didn't know if there was a One to serve. Actually I also said if there was a One I was sure i'd serve them faithfully, and then even in the dream I was all wait, what? Because serve. Because even the Creator might not be all that, you never know, so surely more thought is required than serve. Look after life and all that good stuff, sure, just, you know, independently.
But then in the dream Bucky was being referred to as Ripper by his friends and one in particular, a dark haired slim lad, he kind of swept him off his feet and set him up on a counter and then took a breath like he had something to say but hesitated and went for the kiss instead. And the other guy flinched. He leaned back and looked all bzuh. Which, you know, could have been the being picked up parts, not the... being picked up parts, but Bucky wasn't hanging around to find out, he was all running and crying and much drama. So I had to follow him and when I woke up I needed to take time to write the ending a bit to get him to a much better mental place.
So now I've got a young Ripper in mind looking like Sebastian Stan, and while looking like a young ASH was perfectly fine, this too is no bad thing.
I kind of want to go sit in a garden now. A nice garden. That I am magically not allergic too.
