So very bored
Feb. 16th, 2015 06:31 pmI'm deciding how to decorate the WC at the new place. Assuming I get the new place. Which would be nice.
The bathroom and WC have no windows, and a surfeit of light pulls, which presumably do something but without the little map the electrician is going to make I am unsure what.
They've got the cheapest white loo, bath and sink, white tiled walls, and black and white squares on the floor. And initially I can afford to change precisely none of it.
So.
Bling.
Rainbows and bling.
We start with the silver glitter loo seat
http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/glitter-silver-toilet-seat-690830
Then Wilko have a crystal collection
http://www.wilko.com/bathroom-collections/crystal-collection/icat/crystalcol
http://www.wilko.com/light-pulls/wilko-light-pull-crystal-effect/invt/0311390
http://www.wilko.com/bathroom-mirrors/wilko-mirror-free-standing-crystalchrome-effect/invt/0298357
homebase/argos has a similar crystal set but for a much higher price, and I can't see where they'd improve the quality.
I think I like their shelf better though.

Matalan has a holder for spare loo rolls
http://www.matalan.co.uk/product/detail/s2574666/sparkle-toilet-roll-holder-85cm-x-14cm-x-11cm
and a different crystal light pull
http://www.matalan.co.uk/homeware/bathroom/s2574575/3-tier-diamante-style-light-pull-12cm
ASDA's diamante toilet brush adds that final touch of class.
http://direct.asda.com/George-Home-Ceramic-Bling-Toilet-Brush/002035260,default,pd.html
and they've got another crystal light pull
http://direct.asda.com/george/george-home/george-home-clear-bling-diamante-light-pull/002005034,default,pd.html
If ASDA's loo brush stops selling, dunelm has a slightly less good and more expensive version
http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/white-diamante-bathroom-collection-396193
Add a bit of colour from Dunelm brights
http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/haven-brights-bathroom-collection-297201
and finally
http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/brights-collection-beaded-light-pull-and-cord-284125
is a brighter version of wilko's
http://www.wilko.com/light-pulls/wilko-blue-ball-light-pull/invt/0311402
I haven't decided on bath mat and shower curtain yet, because the ones I had decided went away.
A rainbow bath mat would be nice, but nowhere that sells things seems to agree with me on that one.
ASDA has a blue and white one
http://direct.asda.com/george/george-home/George-Home-100%25-Cotton-Pom-Pom-Bath-Mat/002023724,default,pd.html
Or I could just get any plain one and put ribbon around the edge. ... I could if I was at all crafty. ... I probably mean mum could.
The little sunburst curtain rail clearly looks best, though I don't know how well those hooks function
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8316772.htm
The Range has a shower curtain of mosaic fish
http://www.therange.co.uk/shoal-mosaic-shower-curtain-180-x-180cm/shower-curtains/The-Range/fcp-product/25088
that might kind of overwhelm the room though, seeing as it's as small as something with a bath and sink in actually can be.
... I did like the rainbow stars one from wilko much better.
This one has fish and colours a bit like the dunelm brights
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2876919.htm
but I'm not sure, it doesn't actually match or anything, and it's £14 for something not utterly awesome.
I might go with silver sequins
http://direct.asda.com/george/george-home/George-Home-Silver-Sequin-Shower-Curtain/002025096,default,pd.html
but most of the glittery stuff is for the WC, and the colors go in the bathroom.
I don't actually need a towel rail on account of there being a towel radiator, which is also silver and quite shiny. So if black white and silver are what there is to work with, adding color and bling seems like more fun.
The other plan is blue. The current bin is blue, which is the correct colour for bathrooms. The laundry bag is blue too, and that's likely to end up hanging on the back of the door. Blue everywhere.
But I'd rather find a matching bling bin for the WC instead.
Well, one for less than £28...
