The Horror Channel, new to UK freeview, did not sound interesting enough that I'd even checked the listings before. But today's schedule, and indeed all this week?

Highlander, Doctor Who (classic series, probably 6), and Star Trek the Next Generation

I may have a new favourite channel.

... okay, it greatly resembles the contents of my DVD collection, and 'Bad Day in Building A' isn't really worth dropping everything to watch it over again with commercials, but still.

... oh, no subtitles. Okay, so that sucks.

CBS Action has the same flaw, and a whole lot of Star Trek, plus MacGyver.

Pick TV usually has some newer Trek, some Stargate or other, Andromeda, I think Battlestar Galactica. At the minute not much of that, just Andromeda, and I know that passed the point where I'm willing to watch it. (it became a completely different show when Trance changed colors)

... I spend all my time watching re-runs, I really need to find something new and interesting. I mean, it's not even that the re-runs are that good, it's that I already know exactly how rubbish they'll be and I got used to it already.

still, TV is actually showing stuff I want it to, yaays :-)

I liked the first two seasons of Andromeda a lot. After that... not so much. I gave up some time during season three and caught just enough of the show after that to be utterly bewildered. I'm not convinced those were even the same characters for all they had the same names and same actors.

they didn't have the same writers, backgrounds, or overall gameplan, so yeah, no

Hahahaha, I remember when that was coming out. It went off the rails when they fired the showrunner, and then the last (and lower-budget) season is just completely different.

I don't seem to remember 'Bad Day in Building A.' I looked it up online and am watching it on YouTube. There's a character named Randi in the opening credits I don't remember. Maybe I just didn't see most of the early Highlander episodes, before Tessa died?

Hey, that bad guy looks familiar! He reminds me of Larca. I looked on IMDB, and it's the same actor!

Highlander early episodes have a learning curve going on. What Adrian Paul has to say about his fight skills is kind of harsh but he did improve rapidly and noticeably. Also the writing was a little unfocused before Abramowitz got there, pretty much before Darius and Band of Brothers.

I should rewatch Highlander but I think the DVDs are US region and I'd need to plug a different box in.

I actually liked it. It's different from the later episodes.
