Apr. 24th, 2015 01:38 pmWhy did I decide to send my characters on missions?
I don't know from pseudo-military secret intelligence forces.
They go somewhere, they shoot stuff, maybe stuff blows up.
What's all the words for that?
I mean, Clint not having the standardised vocabulary I can get away with, he can have any background I specify, but Coulson kind of grew up SHIELD and would have all sorts of technical terms and would use them at least once.
... why I make my life difficult?
Also, snipers do some very tricksy shit. That shot Clint made at the Helicarrier, the really curvy one? Snipers always have to take account of the wind and so forth, so sometimes they're aiming like tens of feet away in order to shoot something. They usually have a friend (spotter) with a laptop who measures stuff with specialist scopes and plugs numbers in and can tell them how much they'll need to compensate for conditions over that distance. Clint does it in his head, with, in comics, no formal school after, what, middle school? He just knows where it'll all go. That is spectacular superhero level shit. Even before the 3D dominos he did in the battle.
Figuring out what he'd actually use it for, when I went and set myself six distinct episodes, that's... that's going to take a while.
In other news, I could go see the Avengers, but I haven't, again.
I really want to.
Why am I not going?
