Mum visited and we got the furniture upright without putting all its weight on one leg at a funny angle, and then we shuffled it through to the bedroom, where it fit exactly as measured.
Big win!
Mum threw away all the cardboard and stuff.
Also mum took the Very Goth Boots, which are very pointy and very slidey and I haven't got around to wearing... oh, possibly this century. And only wore once or twice to conventions anyway. So, great boots, but if I don't wear them, someone else can think they're great.
I am putting stuff in the drawers now, which is always fun. The thing that was in that space before was a plastic thing with much random in the drawers. I am finding many things that I no longer require. Also some I don't think I needed in the first place. As usual.
I threw away some makeup because it was many old. Actually judging by the advice online I should throw away all the makeups. Well that simplifies things.
Nail varnish seems to be safe for pretty much ever though, it just goes lumps or whatever. So I'll have a drawer full of nail varnish and nothing much else. Which pretty much reflects how I use it so that works out.
I don't think I'll get everything from the old thing into the new thing. But I'm pretty sure I don't need everything from the old thing. So that'll be an opportunity.
And under that clothes sorted by tops or bottoms, and under that some nice furniture legs instead of broken plastic roller things.
:-)
