beccaelizabethFurniture half worked today, since I figured out the CD cabinet box but didn't even really start on the chair assembly.
My back hurts, I can't find the instructions, and mum did visit to help but we did other things instead.
The stuff in the hallway that has needed sorting and sending to charity shops has now been sorted and sent. And some got thrown away, because nobody needs those bits. Is sad, but mum has the knowing of what will even sell anywhere, so.
I just now ordered the second CD cabinet, which I hope will be exactly like the first, because the first one fits my Big Finish Audio main monthly range Doctor Who plus the 8th Doctor, but I still need to buy more of both of those, and there's a bunch of other ranges that are currently on the table awaiting the second cabinet. The CD cabinet has 10 drawers and in each drawer there's just about 25 CDs of audio adventure, but I have like 316 audios on librarything and then some music that's not on librarything and then a bunch of computer stuff that probably should fit. So I need twice the drawers, like I expected.
I still need to rearrange my front room so both cabinets have somewhere to go, but I think I only need to move one of the shelves like a centimetre and then it maybe probably should fit. Also it helps that Big Finish is all in my account as downloads anyway so I don't need to physically access my CDs.
... anyone pointing out that I don't need to physically own my CDs would not be accused of crazy talk. But I have a collection. Not-collecting when I already have a collection is quite entirely beyond me. And I can afford both the space and the money involved. So.
So that was quite a good day on the CD cabinet front, since the Big Finish audios monthly series is now in the cabinet in order so I know which drawer has which numbers in, give or take a couple at the edge of each 25. Some of the ones at the back would need me to take half the drawer out to get at them, which would not be optimal for someone who anticipated needing to do that regular. But it suits me fine. I have places to put things, and the are in order, so I'm golden.
The chair though... I did not understand quite how many pieces it would be in when I ordered it. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. If I just take everything out the box and spread it out then I'll almost certainly find instructions even. And I only need it for next week Wednesday when there are scheduled to be three whole people here. After that I anticipate my brother using it sometimes. It's not an urgent chair. It's just it would help if I knew if it worked, so as to know if I need to send it back. *sigh*
Tomorrow I will get up again and have another go.
But today I will sit in my recliner and relax in the only comfy position and hope my back stops hurting before I need to do anything.
