new Analog and Asimov's have arrived, yaays :-)
... I know I ended up not liking much last time but every other month is new and varied
so they have the opportunity to disappoint again

I'll be interested to hear how these work out for you. Right now F&SF is the only SF/F/H magazine I'm subscribing to (I almost said "read," but thanks to going back to school, I'm behind back to last November in reading). When I was younger I was a big fan of the Analog-style stories, but I haven't really ventured around that side of the genre recently.

I have subscribed to Analog, Asimov's, and F&SF
two issues for F&SF, one I've read and these today for the others.
I been reviewing them on my books tag. Very mixed bags, thus far.
