Iconic moments

Okay, so I just paid for this here LJ thingy
meaning I get a bunch of nifty new features
starting with polls, which I'm going to use for homework

next, and obviously far more important than mere grades,
icons

so, I thought I had the exact icons I was after stored around here somewhere
and I probably do

so far I have a folder full of, er, 69 of them?
edit: 174 and counting. I, er, got a bit carried away...
ended up with 200.

I can't find the ghosty-Ethan icon I thought I'd grabbed from wickedfox found it. went all through wickedfox icon posts then when I went to save it found it already there on the desktop, with the same name and everything. *headdesk*

and I can't find any labels. Like, any. I've been grabbing icons from all over the place for years, and apparently every single one of them has no where they're from tag.
I'm an idiot.

This one I'm using, I use it on the s3 board, but I know I *found* it on LJ. I asked permission to use. I just can't find any name now.

The others, I know if it is customised, words on it or something, is not good to use without permission. And really, finding permission for years old stuff? Not likely.

Is using the blank ones out of order? I mean ones that are pure screencap (or even stills) cropped to 100*100, no other modification.

Otherwise I'll have to start with screencaps.

I need an Andrew icon, an Oz icon, and a Giles icon. I have many of Ethan.

I could put that old photo of 'Ripper' together with one of those pretty RS pics from that vampire movie. I try not to mix up different roles by same actors, because, different, but theres no other way to get a Ripper era Ethan. And I have some ficlets lying around from back then that could have a pretty icon to go with.

But I was thinking, one icon per character, animated, four or five frames, between them to be like the range or variety of that character.

So, for Giles, we need a tweedy librarian guy, a Giles from Grave kicking ass with magic frame, a Giles with a sword icon, and... I guess Giles and music, and Giles being not in a costume. Which, yeah, could be meaning undressed, but I want only Giles not ASH pics so that would be a bit difficult. But there should be a pic of Giles just being, not being Watcher-Librarian-whatever. Maybe Giles sitting with Ethan? Or with Olivia. But only Giles in the frame. Both times being for someone still.

If there is going to be tweedy Giles there has to be Giles in leather to balance it out.

There could easily be 5 for bad day Giles - tortured, impaled, knocked out... okay, about a dozen knocked out. Get knocked down/get up again/never going to keep me down...

Oz - for my Oz, needs to be wolf guy more than cool guy. So more than one with him wolfed out. Him in the bath in Fear Itself, curled up scared, needs to be in there. Also one from New Moon Rising, with the beads round his hand showing. Naked in a cage Oz. Oz driving. Maybe Oz with crossbow, because that was cool. Oz with guitar, but not so much on stage, that wouldn't fit my Oz.
Oz in sheepskin jacket, because wolf in sheep clothes stays amusing.

Andrew - needs the depths of geek and the times he stands up. Some of him beat up, some of him trying to stop psycho Slayer. Andrew reinvents himself so often. Is part of what those four have in common, theres many of them each. Andrew in oven gloves, Andrew crying because Warren left him or right when he found out Warren was dead, Andrew with one of his magic music moments, Andrew with a sword at the end of the world not actually dying, Andrew in geeked out Watcher mode.


There might be better moments.

So, suggestions?

I've always liked Giles-with-chainsaw - he looks so pleased with himself.

Also Band Candy Giles.

This sounds fun, be, I look forward to seeing the finished products.
