by this i mean i was feeling gut punched to the point of feeling sick, but i know the chances of them reversing it next week are really, really high, so it's a waste of feel really.

I see why you're hoping that the events might be completely reversed, but I can't stop myself hoping that the season will end up with Bill teaming up with Kroton as free-willed Cyberpeople wandering the universe doing good. Because to have this be Bill's departure, similarly to Clara teaming up with Ashildr, would be a great riposte to Davies's more parochial and reactionary tendencies, and you could read it as anti-ablist (as in rejecting the idea that people who are dependent on assistive tech to survive are any less human, that is inherent in the original Cyberperson concept).
