I feel like I failed at social
because we played a fun tabletop game instead of much talking, which is not the theme of the group
but if they didn't want to they would have said no, so.

I have been rearranging my books since I got back.

Due to the fixed shelf and the position of the shelf holes and the general awkward that is book heights, I have two CD shelves in the middle of my bookcase, instead of one paperback shelf. But I also have gigantimous numbers of big finish audios to put somewhere, a need for an Unheard shelf, and only so many drawers to put cds in, so, I think that should work out in the long term.

If I'm going to make room for all the Doctor Who, with room for new ones, on shelves only single deep
I have to move back into the bedroom
the books I moved through to the living room first.

*sigh*

So I'm telling the internet instead of actually doing yet.

I was uncertain if I wanted the kids books to be on same shelves as all the rest or different shelves. Plus a lot of authors write a bit of both, or some YA just seems weird to put next to Winnie The Pooh (which I have several times, and House at Pooh Corner, and in Latin). If I pull the ones I wasn't sure about and put them back with the kids books I'll have another shelf for DW.

... but DW is arguably kids books, and then there is chaos and anarchy in shelving.

I'd put all the alphabetised by author fiction in the bedroom together but there simply isn't enough shelving.

The collections that have to go Tie In Series then Date and ignore author are in the front room because so are all the Dvds they tie in with. And Conan isn't the same, the movies tie in with the books, but they're multi author so near enough.

I've also got the PTerry slightly out of series order because then the shelf heights work just enough better it might be worth how much it's going to bug me.

... might.

I have so many books. It's pretty awesome. I keep just hanging out in this chair staring at my full shelves of books.

Of course I also keep weeding books that I either don't need any more or inherited without having read them even once, so hypothetically there's a possibility of a one in one out system being set in place, but I have met me and that isn't going to happen.

Shelving would be so much simpler if books were standard heights. And if those heights were short.

... but it's a fun puzzle this way...

It'll take a while for the new organization system to settle itself. Rearranging is half the fun, though, in my mind. But my mind is a weird place.
