and if you're into the person, rather than the outsides, there is some variation that might lose your interest, but mostly the Doctor is the Doctor, right?
like falling for book characters and then knowing you're almost certainly going to fancy *whoever* they cast, because you've got a run up.
And weird as it is to get one's fantasy love life recast every few years
it must be a bit weirder right now for straight women
or gay men.

the Doctor as a male role model is right where he's always been, and now there's a chance to see a woman do the exact same things.
